This is what we could have had.....instead we have been hung by our own BOE and NOTFURLONG!

Congratulations to Charles Dedrick, Cohoes City School Superintendent, and the candidate recommended the focus group to be the EGCSD Superintendent!!!!

In today's Advertiser there's an article announcing that he was the recipient of the NYS Council of School Superintendents Appreciation Award. Only a few superintendents, out of 700, are selected to receive this. He was recognized for his exemplary service, commitment as an emeritus faculty member of the Superintendent's Academy, leadership and guidance, amongst other achievements.

It should also be noted that Mr. Dedrick is a longtime resident of the EGCSD.Credit should also go to the EGCSD Focus group for having the insight to recommend such a highly qualified and well respected individual.

It's unfortunate the BOE decided to ignore the focus group's suggestion and decided instead to hire a much less qualified person from outside the area that was basically pushed out and fired from her previous job as a Superintendent.

CONGRATS CHUCK DEDRICK!!! SHAME ON YOU EG BOARD OF EDUCATION!

IT CAN'T BE THREE AT A TIME ANYMORE, WE CAN VOTE OUT 3 AT A TIME BUT, THEY ALL NEED TO STEP DOWN OR WE NEED TO COMPLAIN TO THE STATE AND HAVE THEM PUSHED OUT, TAKEN OUT. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, THAT STORY ABOUT CHUCK DEDRICK SHOULD BE IT. ENOUGH SAID. TIME TO TALK TO REPORTERS THE STATE, ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN TO US. THEY WANT POSITIVE STORIES AT BOARD MEETINGS TO COVER UP THEIR SHAME....THOSE POSITIVE STORIES ARE THERE BECAUSE OF ALL THE EMPLOYEES THEY WANTED TO PUSH OUT OF THE SCHOOL DIST. TIME TO LEAVE LIGHTS OUT.

Meanwhile, at the last BRAC meeting, PTOs had to discuss hhow they have to buy mulch for the playgrounds because it is not in the budget anymore.

Big Mike Angelo admonished the BOE for shirking their duties as previous BOEs had made sure it was in the budget.

Paying Becky a little less could have ensure mulch for playgrounds.

Guess I was beaten to the punch in reprinting the article on Mr. Dedrick. And our BOE passed him up. I also agree that we really have to take serious steps here in ousting the whole board. Even though there are the 5 ringleaders, apparently the other 4 do not have the backbone or dedication to our community to sway them to decency so they all should go. We probably couldn't pay Mr. Dedrick enough to come back. What our school district needs is to seek again candidates for Superintendent and this time we need to give Ms. Guptill more of a chance than last time. It is rumored that the BOE would not even consider her for a second interview, yet other school districts that she applied for had her as second runner up. The next thing we need to do is have our own "closed" East Greenbush Concerned Citizen meetings as Unetago did. Writing these blogs may get it off our chests but actions are definately needed. We need to get them removed and do it in a well-informed organized way. All in favor say AYE!! I also believe that tonight on Channel 6 @11:00 will be the most viewed show...maybe even beat out the superbowl. Let's see how Mrs. Hart does. She wants to make a name for herself (one she will NEVER be able to live down), so here is her TV debut. Any bets on to how many feet she can hold in her mouth.

I for one would love to have meetings, I agree we need that. Maybe mr Cristo can help us with that. There is teachers, administrators and just the reg peoople that want to do this. The only thing is the BOE is sneaking around (slithering)around finding out who is doing what and people will get in trouble. They are finding ways to get at people. And with budgets being figured now, everyone knows what will happen to their budgets if they do anything towarding the all knowing board. I and I know at least 3 others i can speak for will show up at any meeting. Mondays would be a good night because the board should be having brac meetings then and will leave us alone. Maybe the Town board will let us use the town hall. There are people that will come and do know more of what is going on.

Count a concerned dad in. The problem with these BOE folks, is that they don't really know the people in the district who can really get them. A lot of smart people are also working in the background in places they cannot even walk to hurt them. That is why the arrogant leaders always face the music

The BOE is not all that powerful. Tenure is tenure and deceit is deceit. And what could they possibly do to taxpayers not working for the district? First we all know who they are,and since they don't have the guts to answer our questions, apologize and try to do better, I doubt they will try and show up. This is America and we have the right as concerned TAXPAYERS to hold meetings to save our school district from further disaster. And if they try to "blackmail" or blacklist" anyone, then that will give us more proof to the State Ed that they must be removed. This is a democracy not a monarchy. I too would like to solicit Mr. McCabe and Mr. Cristo's help in this. If either or you would respond and tell us how to get in touch with you it would be greatly appreciated.
